Season 2 of P&P starts on Tuesday.

If you like great stories you should be reading this one, because it's about to hit high gear.

Season One included a lot of setup, but it foregrounded a beautifully rendered, slow building relationship Simone and Brynn. Simone's identity is wrapped up in being a perfect Randolph wife and mother, Brynn comes from a family the Randolphs hate. It's your classic Juliet and Juliet story.

Season one ended on a major cliffhanger, we can expect that to be resolved in season two, and there's a lot more mysteries on the table.
Who killed Rosalee Randolph 14 years ago?
Why was a baby boy given up for adoption thirty years ago?

And there's another relationship story getting going. Arthur Randolph and Timothy James Logan had a relationship in highschool - now TJ is engaged to Addie, but he keeps thinking he sees Arthur round town. Even though Arthur skipped town with the police after him 15 years ago.

So what is P&P and how do you watch?
It's a show on twitter - the story is told in tweets by actors playing each part, and a narrator. You don't have to be on twitter to watch it though - you can read the show on the P&P website as it unscrolls before you, or as an archived story afterwards.

I thought I'd be put off by the pace of the live show - I'm a fast and impatient reader - but was surprised to find I really enjoy it, it's like reading well done subtitles or listening to a radio play, and flows naturally. And the other fun part is being able to see the comments of others as they read it - it's very social reading.

The other fun aspect is that outside the episode times the characters tweet and interact with each other and the audience on twitter - the actors who play them are adlibbing in character, and will respond to questions and maybe even give some extra information about the story. This can sometimes be disconcerting - Simone quizzed me on whether I was one of those women who wore 'sensible shoes' and then threatened to ask for advice!

And the story itself is plenty gripping, with fascinating characters and plots and layered writing. I've been completely immersed in Simone and Brynn's story, I can't wait to read season 2.

I want to be able to introduce you to these characters - cynical, hilarious Meta, trapped Arthur, wise young Max, scary Lydia, sweet clever Brynn, and most of all guarded, sarcastic Simone with her romantic streak. Come and read their story.

Everyone gets a romance:
